[GRLUG] Saturday Social, times and locations

Hi Mike --

I do expect to be there on a
more regular basis - illness
today, not lack of interest.
I can understand your frustration.

But as Casey said before, you can
play the when and where game until
you're blue in the face. It likely
won't change anything - it never has.

I think part of the reason recently
is simply winter. I do plan to make
it at least every other Saturday, and
probably more going forward. But
your job is a thankless one, as
something like anchoring an event
always is. Maybe you want to try
something like first and third Saturday
of the month for a while, just so you're
not needlessly tied down. Maybe
hack off an hour at the end. Or even
two hours if no one shows by then.
People can at least let you know they
plan to show.

I do enjoy the events when I do show
up, and have more issues I'd like to
explore with people there.

Anyway, thanks for your efforts to
date. Helping techies to be social is
not the easiest challenge in the world at
best.

All just IMHO of course.
