Another thing that might help make those of you who did engage in the
hostilities understand why it is important to just sometimes keep it to
yourself, is you may be turning Linux converts away. Wouldn't also be better
to help him out and then point out how Linux may have helped him better
identify the problems he was having? Think diplomatically welcome the
person, help them along the way and convince them that Linux is better than
say windows or whatever OS they may be having a problem with.
I may be new on your list but I have been a member of Linux user groups for
well over 12 years. And I have seen this from time to time and its better to
help the person out and then see them slowly move towards linux solutions.
