[GRLUG] Linux/Window options

I agree with Adam, with the caveat that the preliminary question should 
probably be "what are you trying to accomplish?"  As an engineer / 
developer / admin, I've been mac-based for over a decade and run a 
ubuntu VBox instance on my laptop.  All my Windows instances are 
deployed on kvm (formerly VBox) as VMs.

In Adams use case, running a VBox Windows VM on Linux metal, and using 
RD to access and use the VM is virtually identical to using Windows on 
metal.  This affords you with options of taking snapshots before making 
drastic changes, running updates, testing, etc.
