Confirmed, .. the TLS error was just notice it was not negotiated. The
only remaining problem is convincing sendmail to use the FQDN from
/etc/hosts or /etc/sysconfig/network:

   ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
root at domain.com
    (reason: 504 Need Fully Qualified Address)
    (expanded from: <root at WTWeb>)
			       ^ i.e. WTWeb.domain.com
