Sorry, but this is nonsense. All Internet delivery systems depend on government provided monopolies. In theory that means that We the People should have the determining say in issues like network neutrality. And if a local municipality wants to provide better, faster, cheaper internet access than a private business is able or willing to then it should have that option. Unfortunately, our political system is rife with gutless, dirty politicians and bureaucrats that have sold We the People down the river to monopolies and oligarchies like AT&T and Comcast.
It is clear from examples like Lafayette, provided by Bob, and from other systems in Europe, Japan, and South Korea that local and federal governments can provide vastly superior internet access to that which is being provided by so-called “competitive” (lying) private business.
