Yup.  I lucked out, in that when I
worked it was still Solaris and BSD
at the place of employment.
I never played much with windoz.

As people here point out, today the
environments can be made very
similar much of the time. When I
did have to use a machine with
windoz I  sprung for a copy of
MKS Toolkit. Expensive, it provided
a Unix-like environment, and much
of the time I could pretend I wasn't
using windoz at all.
