Can't speak from experience on this, but according to Wikipedia Fedora
started supporting it in version 8 and Ubuntu in 8.04. As I understand
it, CentOS 5.5's based on RHEL 5.5, which is based on Fedora Core 6,
which is why it doesn't support GPT.
