I know, I know -- you guys get bothered with this kind of BS often
enough at family dinners & such.. but hey, at least this laptop is
linux ;)

A friend of mine in the grand rapids area toasted her laptop on a ubuntu
update, and needs a local nerd to take a peek into it. Fairly certain
it's a quick fix of just using sysresccd or something similar to chroot
in and run some apt-get updates -- or worst-case-scenario, installing
the latest ubuntu and importing her settings (evolution / desktop data
is the key stuff she can't lose).

Was hoping one of you would be up for helping her, I'll happily paypal
$$$s to have it handled. Would need to be handled in a public place,
without a 'drop-off and pick-up' style arrangement as you're all
strangers.

Any takers?
