Turns out I didn't have several avahi-* packages installed.  A `dpkg -l
*avahi*' didn't reveal them, either.  I had to search via synaptic to find
them.  Weird.

root at rondo:/usr/share/doc/python-avahi/examples# cp avahi-bookmarks.gz ~/
root at rondo:/usr/share/doc/python-avahi/examples# cd
root at rondo:~# ls
avahi-bookmarks.gz
root at rondo:~# gunzip avahi-bookmarks.gz 
root at rondo:~# ls
avahi-bookmarks
root at rondo:~# chmod u+x avahi-bookmarks 
root at rondo:~# ./avahi-bookmarks 
Sorry, to use this tool as a server you need to install twisted and
twisted.web.

Bleh.  More research...Ah!  It's a python thingy!  aptitude install
python-twisted.  Rock.

root at rondo:~# ./avahi-bookmarks 
Now point your web browser to http://127.0.0.1:8080/!
