Yep, didn't say it wasn't a bug in LINUX (GNOME?/KDE?) as well.  I've
seen this in nautilus before.

Aside:  it is my personal goal to never have Consonance hang waiting for
a response - and I've learned that being 100% async is actually really
hard.  So I cut Nautilus / Explorer / Evolution / Outlook some slack for
their occasional grey-window syndrome.

Really?!  Because we have seen across-the-board pretty significant
performance improvements with IE8.

We advise the same thing; all our users have both IE and FF.  For
performance FF 3.5 is a hands down winner.
