Can't, it was demanded of me that it be just a text based screen so
that users cannot play games.

If all else fails. They might just have to access Unix from a window.
At least Linux is free. The company I'm working for is using Century
Tiny Term. They offer Terminal connection in Linux and Windows also
but it is $500 per license.
Ericom doesn't say but they offer trials.
