Bob,
You are still top-posting. Top-posting is posting a reply at the top
of an email. This is counter to ordinary English writing. When I read
I start at the top of the page and work my down to the bottom. This is
"natural" to an English reader. Some languages are bottom-up, some are
right to left. Email needs to follow the normal pattern of English.
When you top-post you are forcing a reader to first page down perhaps
several pages in order to read the context and then to page back up to
read your response. This is unnecessary and time-consuming. This is
what Greg meant by top-posting "ruins the flow of messaging". Had you
followed the rule about not top-posting, this conversation would be
much more logically arranged. It should be as follows:
