I always love a good mailing list argument. Honestly.

Well, I can see you do not understand mailing list etiquette.
Top-posting is considered rude and ruins the flow of messaging.
Not trimming the mailing list "signature" blocks on responses is considered
rude. It also significantly ADDS to the length of e-mails.
Sending HTML e-mails to a mailing list is consider pretty darn rude.
Mainly because the e-mail is in effect, sent twice and the second time with
a ton of HTML tags. In my MUA, I usually see the messages twice.
Its almost to easy to begin to poke fun at them. I refrain, unless someone
pokes first.
You did so I am.
Mailing list etiquette has existed far longer than you probably have had
e-mail. Please try to be nice and play well with others. You let yourself be
fooled by a certain "large company" into thinking ITS ways are better. They
aren't so don't. Understand, I don't typically have anything to say other
than read the ESR Faq on Smart Questions, it clears up an awful lot of
confusion as far as mailing list etiquette.
So, here is the URL for it:
http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
Also, if you have any suggestions or additions to the FAQ for Rick or Eric,
I am MORE than sure you will get a proper response from them.

Novell's Directory Services is a competitive product to Microsoft's Active
Directory in much the same way that the Saturn V is a competitive product to
those dinky little model rockets that kids light off down at the playfield.
