Hey...  at least you know.  That puts you in the 99th percentile.

There really isn't any need for a root account these days.  That's
kind of what we're talking about.  Different users need different
privileges for different things, and with Linux you can be as granular
as you want...

You can unload the whole shebang on one account...  root.

You can give (fairly large) pieces to individual users...  sudo and the like.

You can define in minuscule detail, every permission every user and
application need to do anything related to their job(s) and deny
everything else...  SELinux.

Pick your poison.
