I would like to take your presentation suggestions and make a
"requested" list.  Maybe people on the list can review such list and put
their names next to items they are familiar with.

The idea of an introductory presentation is based on one of LUG's
missions to help people get started with Linux.  Possibly a distribution
of a distro on a live CD could accompany the presentation.  A human
touch is always better than a web page reference.  If they could learn
from a web page they would have been running Linux already ... :)

does a better job than I'd expect of any 30 minute presentation...
Personally, I'd be more interested in a presentation on configuring
procmail, or setting up a given distribution for professional audio
work (configuring jack, etc).

A presentation on affordable SBCs with various feature sets would be
awesome.
