[GRLUG] ATI Mobility 9600, Render Acceleration / DRI, Need Assistance

Does anyone here have a mobility 9600 using ATI render acceleration/etc successfully with Xorg 7? I can't get it to load on my
laptop. I have tried everything I can think of, but to no avail.

I am using fglrx drivers. I have tried the ones that come with Kubuntu Dapper, 8.25.18 and I have also downloaded the ati
installer and tried their latest, 8.26.18.

I am running aticonfig, but the OpenGL verion is alway Mesa 1.2 (1.5 Mesa 6.4.1) and when running glxgears I only get 120 to 330
fps, and I know I can be getting 3000fps.

Here are the WW's and EE's of my log file. If I need to send the rest of it I can, but I'm' hoping something sticks out.  I don't
knwo why the "Kernel Module version doesn't match the driver" version. Anyone know how-to check the kernel version?
