Agreed. But just to make the point
that free code only gets you so far.
Why is Mandriva allowed to not share
the code? Even TiVo had to publish
its Linux code.
Has anyone here rolled their own
using free code? About how much
is the USB hardware? I suspect that
Mandriva gets a quantity discount,
so their price might be about what
one is going to pay, although I'd like
to hear otherwise.
BTW, I recently installed "Mandriva
Free 2007." I'm not sure whether
this differs from the not free version,
although there has to be some
reason they call it "Free."
It's a polished product.
Re e-mail, I've had several e-mails
to grlug.org bounce in the last week.
Sometimes repeatedly. I send them
from gmail. Anyone see anything
like this?
