Why did M$ do that?  Just to try to establish
that it was not a monopoly?

It will be amusing to watch the M$ - Novell
episode unfold.  Hopefully M$ won't turn out
to be Caldera on steroids. I have to believe
that it would cause a major stink if M$ started
suing all things Linux now,  but that doesn't
mean it won't happen.

Otherwise,  its motives are still unclear.  M$
the nice guy just doesn't wash.
