Pi-hole is a Linux network-level advertisement and Internet tracker
blocking application which acts as a DNS sinkhole and optionally a DHCP
server, intended for use on a private network.

It is designed for low-power embedded devices with network capability, such
as the Raspberry Pi, but can be installed on almost any Linux machine.

Pi-hole has the ability to block traditional website advertisements as well
as advertisements in unconventional places, such as smart TVs and mobile
operating system advertisements.

Are you tired of seeing advertisements at home?
Do you have a raspberry pi lying around collecting dust?
This base talk will give an overview of the pi-hole project, how to install
it (bare metal, or via docker), and how to use the project to block ads on
your whole home network.

~ 7pm announcements & general Q&A

~7:15 Main topic: RISC architecture
(Our original topic on WSA must be rescheduled to a future month.)

In the last year, Apple startled the market by switching from Intel chips
to their own, custom chips. These are RISC architecture rather than Intel
architecture and they are breaking speed limits on the BSD based MacOS. So,
its time we review RISC.

Presented by: Carl Perrry, of RISC-V ( https://riscv.org/ )

Mr. Perry is an experienced Linux developer and is involved with the
implementation of RISC architecture.

The details & URL for the Zoom connection to the above virtual mtng is
