Re Netflix, that's pretty much the case
here as well. Subjectively, the picture
quality is very good. Of course this can
plateau much faster than the issue of
program content...  But between movies,
old TV content, documentaries, etc, I
figure it's well worth $8 a month.

With essentially 100 copyright periods
now, thanks to Disney's Eisner, the
studios will remain in control of content.
What deals Netflix, Roku, and others
will make on the technical front with
the studios is bound to remain confidential.
