Ok.. That certainly could be part of the issue (I note that I was also
trying to test the HDMI -> DVI-D adapter with a tablet I have that has
an HDMI output port, also without any success)
I suppose I will have to see if I can find any info on what parts of
the standard or does or does not support, and how that affects its
compatibility with DVI-D
