[GRLUG] The Raspberry Pi Model B has had its RAM doubled to 512MB, but will stay at its original price

I would love to learn how to use the gpio's on these boards.  It might be
overkill to use this device as a plc, but I am not familiar with plc's and
the programming involved with them, but I do have a passing familiarity
with linux and a few of the scripting languages.

I'd love to be able to hook this up to the furnace/ac with some movement
sensors and servos have it control which registers are open or closed.  How
about hooking it up to a few cameras for a security system.
