Sometimes my laptop won't wake up fully. It stays drowsy; the display
is lighted, but all black. Most of the time closing the lid for a
moment and then reopening it forces another suspend / wake cycle and all
is well again. Sometimes (rarely) a hard reset is necessary. I blame
the nVidia binary drivers. If Nouveau had a clue about my chipset I'd
consider switching.
