The cable came with the monitor.
The monitor is new. So for now I
have to hope it is not defective.
With apologies, the statement about
another monitor was wrong - that was
using a VGA input as well. So in fact
I've never the DVI output of the card
work.
Clearly there are some other things
to look at before I can reach any
conclusions.
