The two together, no, but that's a fine idea!
ZFS (FreeNAS) has been doing me very well for a couple of years now.
I'm constantly impressed by it and would love to use it in a broader capacity.
Why RAID is still so common...

Proxmox is a recent find that I've been fooling around with -
clustering and HA? Okay!
It gives VMWare a solid run for its money.

I haven't visited ZFS on Linux in a couple of years. Almost too
easy/good to be true.
Ben's link has foreshadowed another night of tinkering in the
basement, thanks for the link.
