I've been seriously contemplating one; but don't want to be
the-first-to-the-field [those guy end up dying on pikes].  I haven't yet
found anyone who has used one.

I am very curious of any feedback related to external blue-ray burners.
For the capacity they seem to be entering the reasonable-price-point
IMO.
