I tried to tether, but haven't used it much. I'm root'ed and run
Synergy ROM on my EVO.
I can confirm that even with 4G WiMax up and running when you tether
you are held
to 3G. Same with wifi enabled. Unfortunate.

On another WiMax note, I was eating breakfast at New Beginnings on
Michigan yesterday,
doin' 9Mb's  down consistently!! The upload speeds have been pretty
consistent at 1-2 Mb's
Ping was 106ms for those who care.
