Let's try this a bit more technically. What's the output of "file
some_grf_file.grf"? What company or organization originated the
format? PCX shows up a ZSoft Paintbrush...what about your GRF file?
We really don't know anything about the file format you're working
with apart from it being a raster image (by your statement), it's old,
and that its file extension is 'GRF'.
