[GRLUG] past multiline quotation into one LO Calc cell

I'm wanting to paste a multiline quotation into one LO Calc cell, but
Calc keeps wanting to put each line into a new cell. Is there some way I
can do this?

I don't want to merge cells, if possible, as this is extra steps and
takes up rows in the other columns. That means I'd have to go back and
select and merge the right number of cells in each column.
