Netbook -> WiFi ->  router -> network

and

Netbook -> Cable -> router -> network

Scanning an IP on the network from the Netbook shows NO ports are 
ever blocked by the WRT54G2 after trying, for example, 100-150 (to 
include CIFS et al), .. and even 0-1000! In the latter case, web 
traffic passed properly without hinderance.
