[GRLUG] NOT LINUX

Give that man a Kewpie doll!

Snip is dead on - like the screenshot
feature I use in GIMP. Produces a
PNG file.

I tried using print, and gave the file
and extension of TIF. But someone
here suggested the print feature creates
a raster file. Anyway, a file was indeed
created with the extension TIF, but I got
an error having to do with a bad magic
number when I tried to open it using GIMP.
gmail just said it couldn't "open the file at
this time."

I'd like to know what the problem is, just
in case the commercial world gets M$ to
stop supplying snip, but for now it's the
ideal solution for what I want.

As usual, my thanks for a whole spectrum
of possible approaches. GRLUG rocks!
