[GRLUG] local dns

I know this is common, but I don't remember what it's called.  I'm working 
on a web site, and I need my local machine to look at a different server 
for the domain name than the world dns thinks I should.

Do I put something in resolve.conf so I can look at the dev server using 
the real domain name?
