I've been happy with both HP and Lexmark. I know you don't like Lexmark
because of their lawsuits about refilling cartridges, but they support
Linux out of the box—and on the box! My current Lexmark actually stated
it supports Linux right on the box.

Bah. What's a little ozone? I believe that is all the fumes that are
released. I don't think the toner (which is just finely ground plastic
that gets melted on the paper) releases any.
