[GRLUG] Grub corrupted

I've been having a problem for a while
with GRUB.  Today I upgraded to 11.04,
went to reboot, and nothing happened.
I did a BIOS check of GRUB, and it
confirmed there is a problem of some
kind.  Oddly, I put a beta copy of 11.04
in the DVD, did a reboot, and the
upgraded system came up - a little
Twilight Zone music please.

So, how do I fix GRUB?
