[GRLUG] Mount a windoz XP drive

mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sdf2 /disk2 worked.
Said something about the file system wasn't
safely closed on Windows, but it fixed something,
and did the mount. I can now see the file system,
and will proceed to copy the material while the
getting is good.
My thanks to everyone for the great suggestions
and insights.
