[GRLUG] OT, .. gmail oddity??

Have a user on a server setup to relay outbound mail via gmail - the
server logs into gmail with <servername at domain.com>, .. and the user
has his own email setup as <user at domain.com>. Checking his email
client settings, it appears that all instances of his 'identity' are
properly set to <user at domain.com>, but his, and only his, emails are
coming through from "user name" <servername at domain.com> instead of
"user name" <user at domain.com> (i.e. the return email address is the
server gmail account, *NOT* the user email)!
The mail log entries seem to show proper operation:

Nov 24 12:36:51 <servername> postfix/qmgr[4262]: AE7108DE: removed
Has anyone experienced this sort of gmail oddity or have I perhaps
missed something?
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
