Alas, most of us will probably
forget complicated syntax anyway.
Shell history and aliases are a useful
solution to this in many cases,
and one can check the alias now
and then to do a memory refresh if
there is any real need to. As in, how
many times do you convince yourself,
while caught up in a project, that you
will remember certain details months
down the road, and then realise the
obvious: you don't. I figure that in
about six months one forgets 50% or
more of unused details, just like
everything else in life.
Unless you're one of those very few
that has an eidetic memory.
