Skype work pretty well for me on Ubuntu 9.10 I have trouble with my old sound card, It seems to need to be readjusted for Skype each time I log into my user and it likes to use my TV card as the primary video device each time I reboot. So if you want to watch my local news, I can stream it to you via Skype.
