[GRLUG] Keyboard

I've never had to mess with locale settings before in *nix so forgive me for
my ignorance.

I downloaded a VMware image of a Debian Server... its running but whenever I
type (/) it gives me a (-) and when I type (t) a (z) ... etc

Is this a problem with the locale settings?  Keyboard layout... How do I fix
this?
