[GRLUG] Linking problem?

Trying to build partimage on an OpenSuSE 11.3 machine, .. it appears that
the congifure script is not properly checking for libbz2:

configure: error: *** bzip2 library (libbz2) not found or too old: version
1.0.0 or more recent is need

Yet both 32 & 64 bit versions are installed:

root at Storm:/usr/src/partimage-0.6.9
# locate libbz2
/lib/libbz2.so.1
/lib/libbz2.so.1.0.5
/lib64/libbz2.so.1
/lib64/libbz2.so.1.0.5

Is this a simple case of the configure not properly setting 32/64 bit, or
might there be something wrong with it?
