Heh...I've been using Win7 on my workstation for the past couple
weeks.  It's a lot better than Vista, and even better than XP in a
couple ways.  No opinion on price; Company pays for the license keys,
not me. I don't have Windows at home.  See:

I wouldn't mind interrogating them about why it's possible for network
apps to hang the desktop, though; I've had both VNC and Pidgin hang
the desktop if the server they're talking to is sufficiently latent.
(In one case, it was while connected to a VMWare VNC server where
VMWare's software hung in a kernelspace busyloop.  In another and more
common case, it's while using our internal XMPP server.)  There's a
key sequence that breaks out of the hang: Alt-tab Alt-tab
Ctrl-Alt-Delete Esc Alt-tab.

I need to mod a keyboard controller into an NES controller body, to
give it that old familiar feel...
