Just an aside, the LiDE 100 unit was
on sale at newegg.com for $30. About
$50 off. Seems like a closeout.
I've been running a Canon FB630Ui for
about ten years. The Eveready Bunny.
I've scanned untold thousands of pages
with it already.
I have to wonder why Canon won't play
ball with Linux, but guess that it's a
contractual thing with the monster of
Redmond.
