not a bad idea and will have to remember that one, thanks!

so did some more research, and came across a sister project of coyote called
Brazil FW. same source code, just a branch thereof. installed that and is
working great! not sure why but older versions of the coyote firewall ask
you to specify the root's password while version 3.0 does not. Brazil does
so that will work great!
