RDP is *nice* on Linux. At one point in 2008, I was stuck home sick,
but ran out of sick days. I VPN'd into work and tried to use my XP
Pro workstation via TightVNC. It was dreadfully slow. I switched
over to RDP (using grdesktop, a GNOME interface for rdesktop), and was
able to code at a not-insufferable rate. The only problem I ran into
was that XP Pro refused to give me a bit depth greater than 16,
regardless of what I specified to the RDP client, and I needed 24 or
32 for the testing cycles of the code I was working on.
