Yeah, its SUSE... I'd put Debian on it. I have Debian on my T61

I have an "all Intel Chipset" 2.2GHz, 4GB RAM, 200GB disk, 15.4"
widescreen (1680x1050), WWAN WiFi, DVD-R, FireWire, USB 2.0,
10/100/1000, PCMCIA, Express Card, SD-MMC card reader, Firewire

I've got nothing but great things to say about Linux on it. In fact, my
only problem is the Kernel... and the ACPI thing. They gone and changed
the interface again  making me keep a battery in the machine to get more
than 1200MHz in speed from it.

Other than that. Its all good.
