  A follow up to the discussion on this:

I just saw on /. that they were talking about this same thing. Here is a 
link to a post talking about how to filter out backscatter while still 
allowing legit bounces to get through:

Essentially, the idea is to add a custom header to all emails you send. 
Then only accept bounce messages which have the custom header in them. 
This seems like a good plan to me.
