Yes, you asked for a job, but you provided absolutely nothing to the
list that would be necessary to help you. I am aware of dozens and
dozens of jobs in Grand Rapids, Wyoming, Grandville, and wherever else
you mentioned. I am certain one of the area hospitals is hiring
doctors. I am fairly sure one of local retail shops like WalMart is
hiring greeters. I would also bet that some factory is looking for a
janitor. You offered no explanation of your abilities or preferred
industry or type of job you want. Somehow, though, you think you have
the right to demand something of me and the others on this list. This
is not the Professor's User Group. This is a public mailing list,
ostensibly for discussing all things related to *Linux*, yet you blast
me for making an "off-topic" joke when you use the Linux User Group
mailing list as a job resource. The irony is delicious. I am willing
to suggest that perhaps, if you had actually provided some information
regarding your abilities and interests, someone may have offered a tip,
but once again, rather than asking politely, you bark about as if the
entire world owes you something. A little courtesy will make an answer
to your questions more likely to be forthcoming.

Perhaps you are completely unaware of this, but USING ALL CAPS in
mailing lists, USENET, and the like is generally perceived as shouting.
This is not polite, and on less-restrained, less congenial mailing
lists would get you promptly, immediately, and forthwithly flamed.
(Okay...I made up that word.) If you truly desire help, you may want
to tone it down a bit.

An even sweeter irony is that you missed my attempt at being funny by
joking about the citation of an RFC when it was *your* question that
was answered by an RFC citation that started the last firestorm on this
list.
