I'm absolutely stunned no one's mentioned PhotoRec (!) http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec It's sort of the definitive FOSS 'my flash drive's been corrupted!' solution. Even works well on old floppies and dying hard drives :) --tim
