I am not and have never been in IT as a profession.

I have been using Linux on the desktop for about ten years (yes, TEN
years on the desktop as a home user).

Business hours do not work for me at all. Weekends are cool. For a
while we had meetings at ITT on Saturday mornings. That works swell
for me.

Hanging out with fellow geeks is worthwhile. I also enjoy
presentations to learn something new about Linux.

The Saturday meetings we had at ITT were of this nature. We hung out
and talked hardware and software and helped each other with installs or
configuration issues and marveled over various mods (I remember one guy
made a projector out of a laptop display and an overhead projector and
some duct-tape - SHWEET!) Fun was had by all.
