I can't speak to the N800 specifically, but based on my experience with
the Linux handhelds that I've used (the Zaurus models including my
current SL-C760), Linux-based handhelds make lousy PDAs right now. Palm
might change that with their new platform, but that's still in the future.

So it comes down to what you want the N800 for.
Do you want a PDA?
Do you want a tiny, slow, Linux laptop?

If you want a PDA, the N800 is probably not for you.

I had to make a similar decision earlier this year when my TX digitizer
wore out. I decided to get a new TX rather than get something different.
